The WLA Mentor Program

The Mentor Program is gearing up for its third round! Applications from prospective mentors and mentees will be accepted until August 10th. Those who are selected to participate as mentees will be matched with appropriate mentors. This matching process is one of the most important factors in the success of the program for both mentors and mentees.

The Mentor Program enables local businesswomen (and men), as mentees, to define their goals and objectives and then work with an experienced business mentor for a period of one year to develop an action plan and take steps toward meeting those objectives. While mentors are required to be DCRCOC members, mentees are not.

Mentors and mentees also gather periodically as a group to share successes, discuss challenges, and brainstorm ways to make the program even better. Phase 2 of our Mentor/Mentee Program, which started in September will wrap up in September of this year. Feedback from participating mentors and mentees continues to be overwhelmingly positive. For more information about the Mentor Program, visit the DCRCOC web site at http://dcrcoc.org and click on the WLA Mentor Program logo on the right side of the screen. If you have any further questions about the program, please contact the chair of the Mentoring Committee, Alexandra Laubacker (arlaubacker@ies-ny.com).
